    MARIA CECILIA ANDRADE

    Holds a law degree from the Law School of the Catholic University of Salvador (1994), and is admitted to the Bahia, São Paulo and Federal District Chapters of the Brazilian Bar Association. Ms. Andrade also holds a Master Degree in Enterprise Law from the Coimbra University Law School (Coimbra, Portugal), class of 2000 and a specialization degree in Business and Economic Law from the School of Business Administration of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (São Paulo, Brazil) - 2001. Her 10 years’ practice has focused on antitrust law, merger clearances and cartel investigations, specially working in the Brazilian Competition Law system and in the regulated sectors such as telecom, energy and financial institutions. Ms. Andrade also handles international commercial law, including trade defense, Mercosul and WTO regulations. In 1999 and 2000, she worked as a trainee at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission, Brussels. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French and German, and has delivered lectures on these subjects in Brazil and abroad. Ms. Andrade is author of several articles and papers about antitrust law and international trade law, published in specialized magazines in Brazil, USA and Europe. She has also authored the book “Controle de Concentração de Empresas - Estudo da Experiência comunitária e a aplicação do artigo 54 da Lei Brasileira no 8884/94”.     HAROLDO MALHEIROS DUCLERC VERÇOSA

    Graduated from the University of São Paulo School of Law (1970), Master in Commercial Law (1978) and Phd in Commercial Law (1991) by the University of São Paulo School of Law. He is full Professor of Commercial Law at the University of São Paulo School of Law. He has taught Commercial Law at many others universities and actually he is also Professor of Commercial Law at Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation Law School. He is admitted since 1974 to the Brazilian Bar Association. He is retired of Brazilian Central Bank where he served since 1967 until 1997 as bank inspector (1978 a 1976 ) and lawyer (1974 to 1978 and 1986 to 1997). He has been law consultant of many companies, working in various specific areas of Commercial Law and in other matters connected with Commercial Law, as corporate business crimes (finacial and laundry money crimes), Adminis-trative Law connected to Brazilian Central Bank and Brazilian Stock Commission. He is a member of the Arbitration and Meditation Center of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce, nominated to severeal cases. He had written many books and articles in Commercial Law, published in important law revues, especialy in the “Commercial Law Revue” as one of its Directors. He is fluent in conversation in Italian, English, and Spanish. He is able to read all those languages and also in French. He has basic notions of German.

    Law Degree from the Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC/SP (1985), Master in Commercial law from Seijo University, Tokyo (1991), Master in Intellectual Property from The George Washington University, Washington DC (1995), Doctorate Course in Intellectual Property from Seijo University, Tokyo (1995). Admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association (São Paulo Chapter). Ten years of international experience in Japan and the United States. Member of the International Trademark Association - INTA. Her professional experience in the corporate legal matters for more than 20 years with performance in major domestic and foreign law firms, involves a variety of legal matters, with emphasis on immaterial rights, intellectual property, information technology, entertainment, commercial defense and her experience includes the performance of preventive, advisory and litigation work. Ms. Aoki has been appointed as an arbitrator for the WIPO - World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center for the Resolution of Domain Name Disputes since 2001.
